Laser Spider Vein Treatment -- "Lose the Vein, Without the Pain!"
Broken veins occurring close to the top of the skin either on the legs, face or nose aren't life threatening, but they can keep you from enjoying life by making you feel uncomfortably self conscious. The laser can precisely treat visible broken capillaries and spider veins allowing you to avoid injections such as sclerotherapy. Where many lasers are incapable of effective treatment on tanned or darker pigmented skin, our Sciton laser can treat all skin types, giving you clear skin year round without the pain of invasive surgery.

Q. How Does It Work?
A. The laser can precisely treat visible broken capillaries, spider veins, and the discolorations of the skin due to rosacea. All areas of the skin can be treated but the face, neck, chest and legs are the most popular, by gently eliminating veins from the visible layers of the skin. The treatment is tailored to the individual's requirements. Depending on your needs the procedure may last only a few minutes or take up to a half an hour. The ScitoN laser can be used on all skin types as well as on tanned skin.
Q. What Does It Feel Like?
A. Your eyes will be protected using safety goggles. You may hear some minor popping or snapping or you may perceive a rubber band snapping sensation. Some people experience a sensation of heat, similar to the feeling of the hot sun directly on your skin in the summer. Skin areas exposed to the laser will be sensitive to ultra-violet light so you will need to avoid the sun and tanning beds until it is fully healed. (For this reason, this is a great winter time treatment.)
Q. How Long Does It Take To Heal?
A. It depends on the treatment. There is virtually no down time and no need for anesthesia although this can be discussed with the doctor. Redness may last several days and you will have to stay out of the sun and tanning beds. Veins will become lighter in appearance until they are completely reabsorbed by the body over a period of time. Small veins will become invisible almost immediately.
