Last time I talked about beauty boo-boo's I talked about how we naturally concentrate on one thing and forget that our appearance is tied together with several element. Before I pointed out how it was important to consider a beauty plan that includes your face and your neck, chest and decollete.

Another area of the body that I've noticed a similar error occurs a lot is for those of you wanting to return more fullness to your lips. Over time collagen breaks down especially in the very thin skin of the lips which are exposed to the sun and literally take a licking all the time. Dermal fillers like Restylane, Pearlane, and Juvederm, are popular ways to add fullness, but don't stop just at the lips! Make sure you're not just paying your mouth lip service! As I mentioned in the past blog entry, your body frames and helps display the other parts. Heavy creases around the nose (nasolabial folds) as well as those vertical lines above the lip and at the corners can visually reduce the appearance of lip fullness, and make them look thin and scrawny.

I've found that lasering the vertical wrinkles above the lip, not only adds fullness but highlights the "twin peaks" of the cupid's bow portion of the lip which gives our mouths added definition. You may find after we've consulted that eliminating surrounding mouth wrinkles alone may be enough to visually add back in the definition and fullness you want.
